Between sizes
If you are between sizes, go up to the bigger helmet and add the liner kit if you want the best dialled-in fit.
If you sit between sizes, the better move is usually to choose the larger helmet and add the surrounding size fit kit at a discount. That gives you the helmet with the liners for the size you ordered installed, plus the next size down and the next size up, so you can fine-tune the fit. For example, if you order a Large helmet with the surrounding size liner kit, you get Large liners installed and you also get Small and XL liners.
